Sheikh Dr. Sajid Umar
Sheikh Dr. Sajid Umar is a UK-born Islamic scholar, judge, educator, and author with a strong foundation in both IT and Islamic sciences. Raised in Zimbabwe, he ran an IT business by age 20 and memorized the Qur’an at 18. He pursued advanced Islamic studies in Riyadh, earning degrees up to a PhD in Comparative Islamic Law, focusing on finance and risk management. Sheikh Sajid is a global teacher, lecturer, and curriculum developer, known for his impactful contributions in Islamic education. He has led initiatives like the New Muslim Academy and served key roles in Mercy Mission, AlKauthar Institute, and various finance advisory boards. His bilingual publications span topics from Shariah to modern leadership. He also co-founded Islamic Finance Advisory in London and is involved in numerous scholarly councils. A dedicated family man and sports enthusiast, Sheikh Sajid aims to uplift communities through sincere scholarship and service.
